Soak Up Spring at These Top Palm Beach Events

The influx of tourists around Palm Beach can only mean one thing: spring is here! Palm Beach spring events are aplenty this season including spring festivals, concerts, art shows, and more. While there are tons of things to do in spring, nothing quite beats a day outdoors celebrating our local arts, music, and culture. As you plan your spring weekend activities, be sure to pencil in one or two of these fun Palm Beach spring events.

Feel the Need for Speed

The Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction, held April 12 - 14, teeters somewhere between a festival and a car show. For more than 45 years, car enthusiasts have relied on Barrett-Jackson as the premiere auction event. With auctions held throughout the U.S., Barrett-Jackson is as notable as the cars they have available. While there are daily events leading up to the weekend, the main auction is where the real action is. Attendees will find a food court, thrill rides with professional drivers, a car symposium, and a live stage event featuring the latest cars from the weekend’s auction. For more information visit the event’s website.

Experience Art in Delray

The Southeast’s oldest and largest art festival is back in Delray Beach this April. Now in its 56th year, The Delray Affair brings an eclectic mix of arts, crafts, and other products to over twelve blocks. Beyond being able to wander from the Intracoastal Waterway to NW 2nd Avenue, attendees will get to experience live music, tons of food vendors, and even Delray Affair After Dark where Atlantic Avenue carries the event into the evening. Best of all, admission to this annual event is free and open to the public. To discover all that the Delray Affair has to offer, head to the official website for all of the details. The Delray Affair takes place April 13-15.

Breakout Your Inner Bibliophile

Book lovers, rejoice! The 3rd annual Palm Beach book festival is back April 13-15 for another year of all things publishing, reading, and writing. This year’s authors include New York Times Bestselling Author Kwame Alexander, A Dog’s Purpose author W. Bruce Cameron, world renowned journalist Dan Rather, James Patterson, and many more. While Friday and Sunday events are ticketed, Saturday is open to the public. Day passes for Saturday’s panel events can be purchased for $75. Panels start at 10 AM Saturday and continue throughout the day. For more information about how to attend this year’s event, visit the festival website.

Discover Japanese Culture

Dubbed a “one of a kind celebration of spring,” the Hatsume Fair will be held at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens April 21-22. The event is a celebration of the first bud of spring and transforms the tranquil park into a Japanese festival. There are multiple stages featuring taiko drumming, martial arts, fashion, and more along with Japanese street food and artisan booths. Visitors will also find a stunning plant sale and activities for children, too. Morikami members get into the fair for free, but admission is required for non-members. Get your tickets now!

Fiesta like There’s No Mañana

If you know anything about the Palm Beach area, you know we have some of the best sweet corn in the country. The Sweet Corn Fiesta, taking place April 29, pays homage to our favorite area crop. An all-day harvest celebration, the Sweet Corn Fiesta includes live music, corn shucking and eating competitions, rides for kids, and of course, delicious corn-inspired festival food. The event is held at the South Florida Fairgrounds. Admission is $5 for children and $10 for adults. Learn about this spring festival on the Sweet Corn Fiesta website.

Jam Out to Waterfront Music

Grab your friends and head down to the water May 3 - 6 for West Palm Beach SunFest. This four day music festival features over 50 bands on three stages including PitBull, Nick Jonas, DNCE, Cake, Living Colour, and Logic. However at SunFest, the lineup is only the beginning. Attendees will also be able to wander the Art District where 80 artists, crafters, and vendors will peddle their goods for the music lovers. SunFest also features floating bars, a battle of the bands, and the popular TGI5k which finishes in the heart of SunFest on Friday night.
