Charleston's Waterfront Park will be renamed in honor of Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr., it was announced last week. The Charleston City Council unanimously approved the decision last Tuesday out of a desire to honor Charleston's mayor of forty years for his "dedication to the pursuit of excellence and beauty and his untiring zeal to achieve both for the heritage and enjoyment of all."
