Berkeley Hills in Hanahan is a subdivision off of Murray Road that is accessible via Fort Drive. It consists mainly of single-family homes, a majority of which are single-level, brick ranch-style homes that were built in the 1970’s or 1980’s. Many of the homes are on sizeable lots with plenty of grass and trees and a few of them have views or access to Turkey Creek or the Cooper River. Although some of the homes in Berkeley Hills have been renovated or refurbished, a majority of them are perfect for those wanting to do a custom interior or exterior redesign. The neighborhood is zoned for Hanahan Elementary, Hanahan Middle, and Hanahan High Schools, which are located just a few minutes from the neighborhood entrance. Divine Redeemer Catholic School is located right at the entrance to the neighborhood, for those wishing to enroll in private education. The city of Hanahan has a number of parks, gymnasiums, fields, playgrounds, youth programs, sports leagues for kids and adults, and city events that are available for the residents of Berkeley Hills and other Hanahan neighborhoods.
