Featuring approximately 80 homes built between 1995 and 2005, the waterfront community of Horlbeck Creek is located off of Hwy 41 just a mile away from the junction of Hwy 41 and Hwy 17. Despite the community’s convenient location near to the Downtown Charleston area, Horlbeck Creek offers ample opportunities for wildlife viewing from its observation tower. Here, residents can observe the wildlife within the wetland habitats as well as the neighborhood conservation area. The community also offers a community dock that can accommodate kayaks. The tidal creek of Horlbreck Creek also runs along the backside of the community. The classic elevated homes within the Horlbeck Creek community range in size from 1,700 to 3,300 square feet, with each home offering four bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Many of these homes feature Lowcountry porches, swimming pools and two-car garages. Several are also located on the marsh and boast private docks providing access to the saltwater creek. Some of the homes, which sit on lots ranging in size from a little less than ¼ acre to around ½ acre, share docks with the neighboring home.
