I tried to sell my own oceanfront villa on Deerfield Beach for a number of years to no avail. In Jan. 2015, I listed my villa with Karen Evans. When Linda and I decided to downsize and sell our home in the Arbors that we had built 20 years ago we felt compelled to discuss our decision with several of our neighbors. Most of them had also lived in the Arbors as long as we had.
A few local realtors were regularly listing and selling some homes in the Arbors but not having dealt with a realtor in more than 20 years we were a little apprehensive. Fortunately, one of our Arbors neighbors had recently sold his home. He was both pleased with the efforts of this realtor, Sandra Sorge, and the price he got for his house. He and I had discussed that most of the recently sold homes in the Arbors had been undersold by some other realtors.
Thus, Linda and I requested Sandra Sorge to meet with us to discuss the prospect of listing our home. Linda and I had not met Sandra Sorge before and when she arrived, Sandra did not match any of our preconceived notions of the typical realtor.
First, Linda and I agreed, that Sandra Sorge was tall, thin, beautiful, was married, and had three boys in school… so how could she also be a very successful realtor?
We soon found that Sandra was really serious about selling real estate and that she very successfully combined that with her family life. Sandra was actively selling homes in Palm Beach County and we listed our home in Hobe Sound with her for a very good price.
Even during hurricane season, Sandra frequently showed our house and hosted other realtors and prospective buyers, and we soon accepted an offer that was just slightly less than the listing price. Sandra had found buyers who knew the value of homes in the Arbors and their offer was extremely fair. So we were very pleased.
We note that at the same time, some of the homes in the Arbors that were listed with other realtors for lesser prices are still for sale. When Sandra Sorge says she will sell your home, she is committed to selling your home, and you will be pleased with the results.
Sandra, then helped us find the newly built home in Jensen Beach that we purchased and just moved into. It is new, smaller than our former home, and is just what we now need, beside being 20 miles closer to our son, his wife, and two grandsons . We live overseas, and were staying in Seabrook for a long weekend. We dropped into the Golden Bear office by chance, and were introduced to Lee... he listened to our requirements, and took us immediately to visit two fabulous properties literally before we flew back home. We knew nothing about buying a house in the US, and Lee made himself available, by phone, text and email, at all times, in order to help us navigate the challenges of being a foreign buyer. Our son Kyle was living in Florida with a family friend who turned out to be no friend at all. This person threw our 19 year old son out on the street and made him homeless. We as his parents live in Massachusetts and could do nothing. Kyle had contacted Laura prior to being thrown out just to start looking for his own place. At that point things where fine where he had been staying.
Kyle was put out on the street with no place to go. I contacted Laura and she was so helpful and understood the urgency of the situation. She responded with listings for us to look at in his price range and close to his work.
Our son found a cottage that would be perfect for him and Laura immediately jumped into action setting up a showing for the place and it was just what he wanted. Laura then provided all the paper work for Kyle's back ground check, credit check and lease document. The entire process went very smooth and fast.
During the process of checking documents and credit checks I wanted my son off the streets until I could fly him home. I booked him a room at a local hotel so he could have a place to stay with a clean bed and hot shower. However, when Kyle went to check in they would not let him have the room because he was under the age of 21. This is where Laura really stepped up and went above and beyond to help our son. She went to the hotel put the reservation in her name paid for it with her credit card and gave the keys to Kyle. We were shocked to say the least at her act of kindness towards our son. She is truly one of a kind. Kyle was so happy that a perfect stranger would show so much compassion to a person she really did not know at all. Our son gave Laura the cash for the hotel and spent 3 nights in a nice warm safe hotel thanks to Laura. Laura is truly a Real Estate Agent with a huge heart.
The entire deal was done within a weeks' time. This was very impressive. During that week, we had Kyle fly home so he would have a nice place to stay. This is where Laura stepped up again. We had wanted to send things down to her for Kyle's new place as a surprise. Laura had us ship everything to her home and she would present Kyle with the gifs that my wife and I had sent. Laura also went to the extent of having his place cleaned from top to bottom as a house warming gift to my son at her own expense.
I have never dealt with a Real Estate Agent that has gone to the extent that Laura has for us. For that we will be forever grateful. I am happy to say Laura is more of a friend to this family then realtor now.

All I can say is, wow!! Chris and Karlea made not selling one property, but two properties, a breeze! My husband and I were new to the selling game, but being the confident, swell headed couple we are, we truly believed that we would be able to sell both properties as FSBO. That was a huge mistake, and we immediately regretted it. Although our phones were receiving multiple calls, it was agents calling to tell us they had prospective buyers but wouldn't show our properties unless we signed with them too.
