Romantic-era writer Sir Walter Scott perfectly penned the poetic line, “Each age has deemed the new-born year / the fittest time for festal cheer.” Celebrating the start of 2020 is fine “festal cheer,” especially if you have the privilege of partying in picturesque Palm Beach, Florida. Whether attending a fancy black-tie gala, a fun cocktail party, or a kid-friendly “noon year’s eve,” Palm Beach has an event suitable for all ages and interests. The most difficult decision of the night --- apart from what shoes to wear -- is selecting where you plan to countdown the final hours of 2019. Here are a few suggestions from NV Realty Group:

Roaring 20s New Year’s Eve Gala at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa

...For the littles...

If your little ones want their own celebration, make plans to attend one of the numerous “Noon Year’s Eve” celebrations around Palm Beach County. In West Palm Beach, both the Palm Beach Zoo and South Florida Science Center will host a celebration as part of its regular admission, Activities at the zoo include a dance party, sparkling gummy bear drinks, and ball drop at noon. The event is from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. At the South Florida Science Center, the noon year eve party begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas and bring a new set to donate to a critically ill child. Activities live science demonstrations, dancing, food and drinks, crafts, and a special toast at noon.

In Palm Beach Gardens, Downtown at the Gardens will lead an outdoor celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the central area directly below the Cobb movie theater. Led by an energetic DJ, the event includes crafts, face-painting, balloon art, dance offs, and, of course, a juice toast.
