Golf at Turtle Creek Club
The golf course at Turtle Creek Club is the heart of the community. Joe Lee, who regarded Turtle Creek as one of his finest accomplishments, designed the original layout in 1969 to wind through lush subtropical vegetation and take full advantage of the scenic Loxahatchee River corridor. In 2016, the club completed a comprehensive renovation led by local architect Kipp Schulties. The project lengthened and modernized the layout to a par-72 design measuring up to 7,172 yards from the tips, reshaped bunkers throughout the course, regrassed the entire layout with Celebration Bermuda on tees, fairways, and rough, resurfaced the greens with Tifeagle Bermuda, and modernized the irrigation and drainage systems. The driving range was also extended and widened as part of the renovation. The course has since hosted sectional and local amateur and professional championships, and the membership roster includes a number of PGA Tour and Korn Ferry Tour professionals who train at the club.
Practice facilities include an expanded driving range, a short game area, and putting greens — giving members everything they need to stay sharp year-round.
