Additionally, the park serves as the venue for the annual Holiday Festival of Lights, an event that runs from mid November through the first week of January. The festival showcases three miles of thematic light structures and concludes with food, s'mores, games, exhibits, and Ole St. Nick himself at Santa’s Village. For the more adventurous souls, the Wild Blue Adventure Park ropes course presents more than 70 suspended obstacles reaching an altitude of 35-feet! The park hosts team-building exercises, summer camps, and individual or team courses.
Though still considered a small town, James Island has experienced vibrant and steadfast growth the past few decades, especially with the completion of the James Island Connector in the early 1990s.
